I guess the most obvious gesture (if you were there) was when I brought Vin's kick with toms mounted out to the stage. That's about as specific as I can get. I'm glad to see that a number of you were able to attend the Drummer For Jesus event on Friday night.

I've heard a recording of Vinnie cussin' a guy out at the Baked Potato. I've seen bootleg video of him there, heard many bootleg tapes. If I know about it, Vinnie knows about it. That's why no more Baked Potato. He hasn't played there since the videotaping incident a year ago with Jazz Ministry.

The cussing tape WAS a long time ago, its separate from the time he caught someone video taping him I think.

Plaid & Steve, I don't know if the swearing thing was related to the videotaping incident last year. I merely sought to enumerate a number of things about Vinnie that seeped into the public via the Internet.

Or more succinctly: via HOD.

I learned and heard all of that from HOD. The board educates me a LOT about Vinnie. It's like an uncensored, unedited version of Modern Drummer. It's one big reason I read it everyday.

Been hooked up by my HOD brothers and sisters with a lot of badass Vinnie bootlegs too.

Plaid, by the way, I meant to commend the excellent reportage of the event, absolutely uncensored MD stuff! Also you are right about Vinnie being scheduled to play the Potato since. He has, but he's bailed. Abe Jr. took the chair with Jazz Ministry at the BP around Thanksgiving 2003 and I read here Brechtlein (sp?) is doing the next one.

Hence my conclusion: Vinnie's done. [img]frown.gif[/img]

Fuse, no doubt VC's a session ace but his uninhibited pyrotechnic displays of virtuosity on those bootlegs blow the sessions afuckingway. But I know you know. [img]wink.gif[/img]
